SAUTED CABBAGE AND HAM
(ENHANCED w/ ANIS SEED)
Ingredients
2.5 kilos cabbage
1 tsp Anis seed
¼ kilo ham (sliced about ½ inch)
200 grams onion (chopped)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
100 grams butter
salt & pepper to taste
Procedure
-
Washed and drain cabbage
-
Sliced cabbage thinly, about ¼ inch,
set aside
- Saute'
chopped onion and ham in 100 grams butter until
brown
-
Add
cabbage, anis seed and sugar. Saute for a while
- Add
vinegar, but do not stir. Simmer for 5-8 minutes
- Season
with salt and pepper.
