SAUTED CABBAGE AND HAM
(ENHANCED w/ ANIS SEED)


Ingredients

2.5 kilos cabbage
1 tsp Anis seed
¼ kilo ham (sliced about ½ inch)
200 grams onion (chopped)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
100 grams butter
salt & pepper to taste

Procedure

  1. Washed and drain cabbage
  2. Sliced cabbage thinly, about ¼ inch, set aside
  3. Saute' chopped onion and ham in 100 grams butter until brown
  4. Add cabbage, anis seed and sugar. Saute for a while
  5. Add vinegar, but do not stir. Simmer for 5-8 minutes
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
